Cyprus · solar, priced
What solar costs in Cyprus, and what the figure is built on.
Every range this site publishes for solar work, on one page: panels, water heaters, the electrician who signs it off. One trade rather than thirty, which means the rows can be compared against each other and against the electricity they are meant to replace.

01The index
4 services.Every figure carries its source.
A photovoltaic system is priced per installed kilowatt-peak, a water heater per unit, and an electrician by the hour. That is three different questions in one table, and a figure only means something read against the row it sits in.
| Work | Indicative range | Midpoint | Published sources |
|---|---|---|---|
| Electrical workLabour only for a licensed electrician on domestic work; materials excluded. Rates run highest in Limassol and lowest in Larnaca and Paphos. A small job normally carries a minimum call-out of EUR 50-100, and emergency or out-of-hours visits EUR 80-150. | €25–€60per hour | €40 | |
| Solar panel installationTurnkey grid-tied residential rooftop PV: modules, inverter, mounting, electrical work and the EAC grid-connection application. Excludes battery storage and any government grant. Small 3 kWp systems sit at the top of the range, 10 kWp systems at the bottom, because fixed costs are spread over more capacity. | €1,100–€2,000per kWp | €1,400 |
|
| Solar panel maintenanceOne professional cleaning visit to a residential rooftop array under normal roof access; the spread is driven by system size. Cyprus guidance is 2-4 visits per year because of dust, pollen and salt air. A periodic technical inspection is quoted separately at EUR 100-200 every 2-3 years. | €50–€150per cleaning visit | €100 | |
| Solar water heatingComplete domestic solar water heater (storage tank plus collectors) as sold in Cyprus. Low and median reflect retail equipment prices for 160-200 L double- and triple-energy units; the high figure is a 300 L pressurised system with two 2.5 m2 collectors, support stand and installation kit. Fitting labour is not separately evidenced in these sources and may be additional. | €1,000–€2,500per system | €1,300 |
Indicative range compiled from published sources, not a quote. It shows the level those sources report for this kind of work, not what your job costs. Only a site visit and a written quote for your actual scope produce a real figure. Sources compiled 2026-08-02.
02Reading the numbers
A range is not a price. It is where the sources landed.
Where the figure came from
Each row cites what it was compiled from and when we read it. Some sources are Cypriot; where no Cypriot figure is published, the note says the level is Greek or EU and you should weigh it accordingly.
District moves the figure
Travel, access and local demand all move what a job costs, and none of the published sources break down by district. So nothing here does either — a district figure would be us inventing one. For your own district, the answer comes from quotes for your own job.
Scope is the usual surprise
The note under each service says what the figure includes. Most of the gap between two quotes for “the same job” is that they were not the same job.
